Yard Jockey jobs in New York
Yard Jockey operates gasoline or diesel powered tractor trailer combination bringing trailers to loading docks to be unloaded. Backs trailer to loading docks, performs safety checks to secure trailer, opens bay doors, and assists dock workers in loading/unloading trailer. Being a Yard Jockey maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up. Typically requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Yard Jockey requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Yard Jockey works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Yard Jockey typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. We are currently providing a $5,000 sign on bonus for this position. $2,500 will be provided after six months, the remaining $2,500 will be provided after 1 year.
- We have new equipment, and you have your own assigned truck that you drive every day. We have a perfect FMCSA safety record.
We offer top pay, pension, health insurance, We are affiliated with Polar Beverages and have 4 bottling plants across the United States so we are here for the long term and looking for the right people to share that with.
Salary Range : $25.00 To 26.00 Hourly

Moving product around our compound and facility locations.
Must understand the company s commitment to food, safety, quality, and continuous improvement as outlined in the Adirondack Beverages Safety and Quality Policy and to understand the responsibility for carrying out the outlined principles as an expectation of the job.
Minimum Requirements :
Valid CDL A
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have 3 years CDL driving experience
Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug & physical testing
