Wound Care Services Director directs the programs and staff of the wound care services department. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • Evergreen Care Center, a small family owned and operated facility located in Fresno California, is seeking a Certified Director of Staff Developement  to fullfill a combined with the role of overseeing the wound program, in our 49 bed, secured memory care facility. The ideal canidate would possess a Director of Staff Development Certification, along with Wound Certification or verifiable Wound Care expierence. Applicants would need to possess a current a LVN or RN valid licensure in the State of California, wages decided upon based on licensure, cerifications and experience. Apply today!

    Position Description

    Responsible for planning, implementing and mainting a program of professional development in the clinical department in accordance with current Federal, State and company standards, guidelines and regulations. Demonstrates and teaches resident care in classroom and clinical units to nursing staff. Instructs in principles and application of physical, biological and psychological subjects related to nursing and resident care.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Assesses the training needs of nursing staff to develop, implement, evaluate and document staff development programs including General Orientation, Job Specific Orientation, In-Service, and Continuing Education Programs for nursing department personnel.

    • Identifies, plans, implements, directs and evaluates educational program within the facility based upon individual facility needs, resident needs, and in compliance with State and Federal regulations; implements these programs on all shifts.

    • Responsible for the planning, coordinating and conducting required in-service programs and/or special training sessions in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and/or corporate requirements.

    • Collaborates with the Director of Nursing (designee) to complete periodic needs assessment identifying ongoing learning needs of staff and assists in developing and conducting educational programs to meet the identified needs.

    • Maintains appropriate documentation of educational programming, each individual employee’s attendance at educational programs and competency validation as needed.

    • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice.

    Qualifications

    • Currently licensed as an LVN or RN in the state practiced.

    • Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school preferred.

    • At least 1 year of nursing education experience required.
