Wound Care Services Director jobs in Delaware

Must be a RN or LPN with an active Delaware License and willingness to attain an Infection Preventionist certification. Familiarity with PCC and an ability to learn and independently manage specialized infection control software. An ability to work well with people in order to facilitate changes that prevent or control infection is required.

Position includes policy and program development, standards interpretation and regulatory analysis, epidemiology and outbreak analysis. Leadership of and/or participation in work groups or committees as required for IP program success. Employee Health related to employee infections/immunizations/prophylaxis. Active participation in environmental inspections, continuing education and in-services. Collaborates and partners with Staff Development to facilitate and promote performance improvement in Infection Control. Plays an active role during surveys and inspections by regulatory agencies. Maintains entries into DelVax system and completes all daily and weekly reporting requirements

Follow new admissions and current resident on proper documentation of PPD, FLU, pneumonia vaccinations

Flu clinics for residents and staff

Serve on Clinical Weekend Rotation

 Previous wound and skin care experience preferred but not required

Ability to work with a team as well as independently

Passion for providing quality care to our residents

Provide education on the Covid vaccinations and assist with facility in-services

Manage the antibiotic stewardship documentation

Administer Covid 19 vaccines as needed

Document COVID information into Delvax

Review new admission records and Delvax for immunization date

Document such dates into PCC

NSHN reporting

Complete designated

Contact tracing with any resident and or staff

Maintain the tracing documentation

Maintain employee and resident line listing

Communication with epidemiologist with any new Covid resident

Ensure proper PPE signage and isolation carts are out and filled as needed on units

Provide In service to staff on unit with any new positive isolation resident

Antibiotic line list

Keep abreast of any new CDC warnings, or regulations in regards to Covid or other potential disease
