    Our client is a rapidly growing National Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy specializing in IVIG, Biologics, Oncolytics, and TPN therapy. They have been on the Inc 5000 list for 4 years straight, and are credentialed with URAC, ACHC, Legit Script, NABP, for various services. They are operating in 44 states and have many infusion centers throughout the United States.

    Position Summary

    The Director of Pharmacy Operations within the Specialty Infusion Pharmacy is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of all specialty pharmacy operations. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including regulatory compliance, quality assurance, staff management, financial performance, and the implementation of best practices to ensure the highest level of patient care and operational efficiency.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership:

    Develop and execute the specialty pharmacy's strategic plan in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

    Identify and pursue growth opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.

    Stay current on changes in healthcare regulations and implement necessary adjustments to pharmacy operations.

    Quality Assurance:

    Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

    Lead efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation and certification standards.

    Operational Management:

    Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, including compounding, production of IVIG, TPN and other infusion Biologic therapies, inventory management, and fulfillment.

    Optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness through process improvement initiatives.

    Financial Management:

    Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost-control strategies.

    Monitor financial performance, revenue growth, and profitability.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    Recruit, train, and manage a skilled team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.

    Foster a culture of diversity, inclusiveness, collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement.

    Patient Care and Safety:

    Champion patient-centric care by ensuring the delivery of high-quality infusion therapy services.

    Implement best practices to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.

    Vendor and Supplier Relationships:

    Manage relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers, equipment providers, and other vendors.

    Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.

    Requirements

    Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

    Active licensure as a practicing pharmacist in California in good standing

    Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in pharmacy operations, with a strong background in specialty infusion (IVIG/TPN) pharmacy required.

    Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and healthcare compliance.

    Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.

    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

    Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices.
