Workers' Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing a company's workers' compensation program. Implements all matters of the program, including claim investigations, settlements, and litigation. Being a Workers' Compensation Manager establishes standards and procedures for all matters relating to workers' compensation. Responsible for finding an insurance provider that meets organizational goals of employee coverage and cost effectiveness. Additionally, Workers' Compensation Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Workers' Compensation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Workers' Compensation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Workers Compensation Case Manager located in or near Raleigh, NC. This position provides an excellent opportunity for those with a strong interest in law to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the success of the legal practice.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation.
    • Compile and organize information relevant to legal proceedings.
    • Assist in drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, contracts, and affidavits.
    • Format and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
    • Maintain and organize case files, both in physical and electronic formats.
    • Coordinate with attorneys to manage deadlines and court appearances.
    • Interact with clients to gather necessary information and update them on case status.
    • Assist in managing client inquiries and communications under attorney supervision.
    • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
    • Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with courts and administrative bodies.
    • Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
