Workers Compensation Administrator II administers the workers' compensation program for an organization. Implements a consistent process for recording, investigating, and reporting workers' compensation claims complying with laws and regulations. Being a Workers Compensation Administrator II prepares and submits required reporting and documentation to OSHA, state and local agencies, and other entities. Monitors all claims and liaises with the employees, managers, insurance representatives, union representatives, medical staff, and attorneys involved with a case. Additionally, Workers Compensation Administrator II communicates case status details and necessary information to involved parties, including notifications of hearings, outcomes, return to work, or restrictions. Performs periodic reviews of overall cases to identify trends. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all regulations and laws for reporting workers' compensation. May coordinate or assist with safety programs focused on injury prevention or facilitate accommodations for workers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Workers Compensation Administrator II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • I. MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

    The NASW New Mexico Chapter is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as an Office Administrator. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operations of our organization and ensuring smooth administrative processes.

    II. BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage office operations and provide administrative support to staff and members.
    • Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, and appointments.
    • Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
    • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
    • Assist in preparing and distributing internal and external communications.
    • Update and maintain databases, records, and filing systems.
    • Assist in financial tasks such as invoicing, processing payments, and reconciling expenses.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and workflow within the office.
    • Perform general clerical tasks and support special projects as assigned.

    Critical Work Performance:

    • Assists with the implementation of logistics for major NASW events and meetings, including the Annual Meeting of Members, Board and NCNLI meetings, NASW national conferences, Foundation events, the Association Leadership Meeting (ALM), Delegate Assembly, and other activities. Event planning tasks may include facilitation of technology equipment orders, assembling briefing materials/binders, materials shipping and delivery, catering, travel arrangements, and registration support.
    • Assists in the planning and preparation of conference/meeting exhibits, including the coordination of advance meeting arrangements and preparation of meeting materials.
    • Provides support for committees, including coordination of meeting arrangements, zoom calls, and distribution of meeting materials.
    • Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or national staff members.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    III. MINIMUM WORK REQUIREMENTS:

    Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate directions, procedures, and protocols.
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to manage competing priorities as they occur.
    • Ability to manage time effectively.
    • Ability to respond quickly to multiple requests.
    • Detailed oriented and the ability to think critically.

    Knowledge:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in office administration is a plus.
    • Proven experience in office administration, secretarial work, or related fields.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in an office setting.
    • Minimum 1 year in a social work or related professional setting.
