Work/Life Program Manager designs and implements wellness and work-life programs and policies to build a positive and appealing company culture that will enhance employee engagement, facilitate recruiting, and support productivity improvements. Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Work/Life Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Additionally, Work/Life Program Manager may manage on-site fitness facilities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a senior management. The Work/Life Program Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Work/Life Program Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     POSITION SUMMARY: 

    The Program Manager – ECE develops, implements, coordinates, and monitors all programmatic services in accordance with established program standards and regulations. This position collaborates with the Early Care and Education Leadership team to develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor programmatic policies, procedures, regulations, standards and trainings to maintain quality programs.  


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Supports development, implements, coordinates, and monitors all components of program operations, following federal, state and local program regulations.
    2. Maintains familiarity and compliance with federal, state, and local program regulation; keeps regulation manuals current; consults with management on rules interpretation and implementation as necessary; maintains consistent operational practices across all child care facilities.   
    3. Plans and maintains a reporting and monitoring system to ensure full implementation of all regulations and licensing requirements. Monitors compliance with operational standards and regulations and facilitates necessary corrective action. 
    4. Facilitates discussions with community providers and parents related to facility operations; relays pertinent information to staff, families and children; observes at centers; advises on topics of daily operations and safety when pertinent; establishes ongoing communication follow-up and education with ACAP team members and community partners.  
    5. Leads continuous improvement efforts based on self-assessment findings, reports from child care licensing, parent feedback/complaints, regulation monitoring, new initiatives, and changes in the field; ensures that program quality is maintained.
    6. Coordinates Center meetings; weekly supervision meetings and other meetings as necessary to support efficient program operations.   
    7. Provides technical assistance on program operations; acts as liaison for facilities with ACAP facilities team, state licensing representative and others monitoring program operations and quality related to licensing and credentialing. 
    8. Collaborates with Human Resource Team and Compliance Specialist to ensure staff training meets program and regulatory standards; and that individual team records are updated appropriately to meet standards and regulations. 
    9. Interviews, hires, trains, supervises, schedules, and evaluates staff. Maintains and complies with performance review system for direct reports; mediates staff conflicts; counsels employees with performance issues; recommends disciplinary action as necessary; assesses program equipment and supplies and may order and distribute to staff and sites as needed.
    10. 10. Assists Director of Programs with grant preparation, reporting, and other functions required by funding sources.

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:

    Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skill requirements are considered essential:

    • 4-5 years of experience in a management/leadership role closely related to the assigned tasks

    • Calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and proportions with a basic understanding of statistics, algebra, and geometry

    • Use Microsoft Office applications and other computer software as applicable to the position

    Education and Knowledge Requirements: The following education and knowledge are considered essential:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related field
    • Comprehensive knowledge of program/agency content and related resources
    • Early childhood development, preferred
    • Child care facility operations, preferred


    Other Requirements: Additional requirements that are considered essential:

    • First Aid and CPR Certification
    • Must pass required background checks
    • Must have a current C.H.R.C.

    Must have a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record per the program, have reliable transportation, provide proof of insurance, and must be insurable under agency policy
