J Thomas Home is a custom shelving manufacturer in Olathe, KS. We are a small family owned company with a fun, hardworking team. We are looking to improve our finishing and need an experienced wood finisher to lead the finishing. This includes stain, touchups and top coat applications. Our goal is to provide the highest quality products that are customers will love for years. The ideal candidate is diligent, dynamic, and has a desire to make things better.
Duties:
- Inspect products for quality and prepare for finishing
- Apply stain with HVLP or by hand
- Apply top coat by hand or with HVLP
- Quality control to ensure all products are 5 star worthy and our customers will love their orders
- Develop a more robust finishing procedure
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of coating products and finishing techniques
- 2 years of finishing experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Desire to succeed.
