The Production Manager- Wood builds on the safety, quality, and on-time production responsibilities of the Group Leads. This role works to meet customer demand, serve and develop their team while applying a continuous improvement approach. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement and a drive to keep the wood shop at the forefront of its responsibilities. The Production Manager- Wood will have responsibility for the entirety of the wood side of our production facility.

Production Schedules Understand the schedule and how to manage all resources to maintain production schedule
Safety - Understand what constitutes a safe work environment and safe work practices in their work centers.

Value Added Work - Understand what constitutes both value-added work and waste
People Management Understand the best practices for managing and motivating people
Continuous Improvement- A basic understanding of Lean manufacturing.
Core Responsibilities:
Production Efficiency Ensure the bottle necks are identified & addressed to improve overall throughput.
Production Schedules Ensure their work centers are properly tracking towards the production schedule. Proactively makes decisions to allocate resources to maintain on time status.
Safety Ensure a safe work environment is maintained and that safe work practices known and adhered to.
Quality Ensure quality standards are known and adhered to.
Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the wood shop, identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency gains. Implement best practices and innovative techniques to enhance productivity and profitability.
People Management Ensure all direct reports are supported and performance issues are addressed in a timely manner.

Qualifications
4 years related manufacturing experience
Previous experience as a Production Manager, Group Lead or external equivalent management experience
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to work on feet for 8-10 hours in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift 50lbs continuously
Ability to bend, reach, twist, push, pull, lean, & stoop
Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Wage and Compensation
This role can expect to earn between $75,000 - $95,000.

INSURANCE | All employees and their dependents will have the ability to enroll in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. If enrolled, benefits begin on the first day of the month following the 60th day of employment at Watson.
RETIREMENT | Watson will match 50% of employees’ 401k contributions, up to 2.5% of base annual salary. All employees over the age of 21 will be automatically enrolled on the first day of the month following 6 months of employment. You can opt out, decrease, or increase contribution at any time.
