Founded in 2019, Wood Solutions & Reman specializes in the remanufacturing of wood products primarily from southern yellow pine timber. Primary services offered include resawing, cut to length, ripping & grooving to customer specifications along with lumber storage. The sawmill hours are 7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:00am-12:00pm on Fridays.

Job Title: Operations Assistant

Job Location: Trenton, SC

Job Status: Full-time (Four 10-hour workdays; possible maintenance on Fridays)

Starting Pay: Salary; starting range of $35,000-$40,000

Job Description:

Report directly to on-site Mill Manager

Manage and help maintain equipment; Forklifts, Trim Saws, Resaws & Rip Saw

Execute equipment setup for specific production runs

Safely and effectively operate machines as assigned in the sawmill.

Perform minor repairs and adjustments to ensure efficient performing equipment

Operate a forklift for use in moving bundles of lumber to staging areas for production

Careful & precise use of forklift for loading/unloading flatbed trucks

Forklifts used: Genie Telehandler & Toyota Forklift (8FDU30)

Identify and help resolve production flow problems in order to meet production goals.

Provide quality control review of finished product in order to meet TPI guidelines

Assist with paperwork related to inbound and outbound truckloads of lumber

Key Requirements:

High School Diploma Required.

Able and willing to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.

Team-oriented with a strong commitment to excellence in everything you do.

Demonstrates commitment to safety.

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Excellent attendance record.

Able to perform basic calculations

Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, climbing, bending and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Prior manufacturing/lumber operations experience a plus.

Prior welding and/or electrical experience is also a plus.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
