Wood Machine Operator sets-up and operates a wood machine. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Wood Machine Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Wood Machine Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Primary Responsibilities
Ensure safety procedures and policies are adhered to by all team members and continuously improve safety performance.
Provide support to all manufacturing teams and manage efficient integration of work flow.
Ensure optimal performance and oversee workforce and maintain process controls.
Assist operation team to implement all manufacturing goals through appropriate lean manufacturing methodology.
Maintain efficient quality of all products within required parameters and prepare schedule
Insure processes are followed and verify results on the production l
Glue conveyor and Apquip set up and maintenance.
Lay-up and press section set up, to include RF settings and pressure settings.
P.E.T. and bond breaker set up.
Perform maintenance and or communicate issues.
Lead Clean and inspect per schedule.
Document run times, meet set-up time standards.
Communicate to their crew information needed prior to a production run.
Can access and communicate POM information and assure they are followed, or know where to pull information from (POM)
Navigation through POM for reporting and information
Keep crew motivated and informed with production throughout the day.
Train crew members for all positions on their work-center.
Moulder setup
Navigation through POM for reporting and information.
Perform and supervise process control documents ensure process control matrix is followed.
STOP/STAR trained with one card per week minimum.
WPO/5S audit daily
LOTO machine specific
