Job Summary: The Director of Engineering has the overall responsibility for administering, directing and coordinating programs to maintain buildings and grounds equipment and to procure or generate all utilities and their distribution systems. Also performs related work pertaining to the overall operation of the hospital. This position has the central role in coordinating the activities of the facilities department with other departments of the hospital to insure safe and efficient operation and in maintaining a liaison between the hospital and contractors, architects, engineers and relevant material and equipment suppliers.
Specifications: Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of engineering or industrial technology specialized in training in Business Management or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's in related field preferred. Five to ten years progressive experience in supervision and maintenance in installation, construction, maintenance of equipment, utilities and building.
