Women's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire women's coaching staff. Being a Women's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Women's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Women's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Key Responsibilities

    • Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service
    • Familiarize yourself with merchandise to provide quick and accurate product information
    • Resolves customer issues and answers questions
    • Provides accurate pricing and sale information
    • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
    • Locate merchandise to help customers find what they need
    • Maintain the organization and merchandise displays in your department
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related responsibilities as needed

    Qualifications

    • Well-developed organizational skills
    • Able to effectively work with a team
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the sales floor
    • Effective communication skills
    • Provide quick and accurate information regarding products and sales/prices
    • Work with a sense of urgency, full of energy, and a positive attitude
    • Must be at least 16 yrs or older
    • Must be able to lift 35 lbs
    • Must be able to meet all physical requirements to complete job responsibilities
    • Must be able to work Black Friday and the days leading up to Christmas
