POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager is the internal steward of the project, leading it across all disciplines. Equal parts planning guru, problem solver, team leader and relationship builder, this crucial team member manages the strategic, conceptual and production phases of multi-channel projects across all disciplines by fostering a culture where team members connect and collaborate.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management Expertise
Manages large-scale projects across departments. Available throughout entirety of the project, from initiation through closing. This includes concepting phase, creative execution, production, and delivery of assets. Informs and controls project workflow, tactically managing day-to-day project operations. Estimation and management of project timelines and scheduling. Creative resourcing. Scheduling of internal planning meetings, including kick-off meetings and internal creative reviews
Efficient Workflow Coordination
Coordination of projects to ensure on-time/on-goal project delivery. Management of internal creative assets. Prioritize projects for creatives. Routes assets for approvals to ensure internal quality controls are being met. Creates a daily hot sheet
Other Duties as Assigned
Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Education
At minimum a High School Diploma or GED.
Demonstrated Skills/Abilities/Competencies
• 3 years of marketing operations/account executive experience
• Ability to manager/prioritize multiple projects and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and drive deadlines.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to communicate concise, accurate, and deadline-driven information.
• Exceptional skills in organization, prioritization, multitasking, and attention to detail
• Experience using project management software.
• Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscape a plus
