Fortified Connections is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Wire Harness Assembly Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in soldering and a comprehensive understanding of IPC standards, specifically IPC/WHMA-A-620, pertaining to cable and wire harness assemblies. Key Responsibilities:

• Assembly and Soldering: Assemble wire harness components according to specifications. Perform soldering tasks with a high level of precision and quality. Ensure proper installation and mounting of components.
• Process Adherence & Improvement: Adhere strictly to work instructions and standard operating procedures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of assembly processes. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the workstation.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Test cable assemblies for quality throughout the assembly process and prior to quality manager review.
• Documentation: Complete necessary documentation such as assembly records, timesheets, and non-conformance reports accurately and timely. Ensure traceability of assembly operations through diligent record-keeping.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent; Technical degree a bonus
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wire harness assembly and soldering
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification a plus

Skills & Knowledge:

• Proficiency in soldering techniques
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, drawings, and documents
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense field and appreciation of quality standards required for critical components

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
