Wellness Program Manager designs and implements wellness and work-life programs and policies to build a positive and appealing company culture that will enhance employee engagement, facilitate recruiting, and support productivity improvements. Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Wellness Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Additionally, Wellness Program Manager may manage on-site fitness facilities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Wellness Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Wellness Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Summary

    The Accounting Manager should demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the overall company’s financial goals and department performance.  The Accounting Manager will work closely with a team of accountants to oversee all aspects of the Company’s daily accounting and finance functions managing accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, by reconciling financial statement accounts and ensuring compliance with the Company’s accounting policies. The Accounting Manager works closely with Senior Finance Management to ensure timely and accurate financial analysis, reporting, and timely month-end close within specified completion dates. The Accounting Manager will plan and manage the following accounting operations of the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Accounting activities of the company
    • Prepare account analyses, financial reports, and summaries
    • Manage timely monthly accounting close process
    • Establish and develop the organization’s overall accounting systems, procedures, policies, and workflows; maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
    • Supervise the processing of bi-weekly payroll interfaces with the People & Culture department to ensure payroll data integrity, maintain payroll accruals, and benefits departmental expense management
    • Process payments (cash, checks, wires, and ACH), ensuring all items are properly approved and accurately posted to the general ledger, monthly reconcile Accounts Payable trial balance to the general ledger and maintain periodic cash flow projections
    • Maintain account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities, and ensure the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
    • Manage the Accounts Payable function to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, proper expense cut-off procedures, and form 1099 preparation
    • Support the CFO with the annual budget and forecasts
    • Lead/oversee 401K & payroll audits
    • Coordinates with the CFO's activities with external auditors and provides needed information for the quarterly & annual audit
    • Ensure filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll and sales/use taxes
    • Work closely with the CFO on department/company-related projects, as assigned
    • Oversee operations of specific functions in the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and payroll
    • Oversee training programs and identify training needs
    • Presents accounting-related findings and recommendations to management
    • Identity, recommend and implement new software, train staff, and improve the usage of existing tools
    • Manage the month-end and year-end close process to ensure adherence to company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
    • Oversee all accounting functions including but not limited to General Ledgers, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash, Payroll, Banking, and audit activities
    • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
    • Oversee and manage a local accounting team and offshore accounting team to ensure effective and efficient accounting processes
    • Serve as the Company’s expert on accounting matters, partnering with other departments on accounting-related questions and initiatives
    • Prepare and conduct annual reviews for assigned employees providing honest and factual comments
    • Maintain relationships with bankers, tax accountants, auditors, third-party administrators, and other key vendors
    • Oversee the company’s credit card expenses
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, equivalent or higher
    • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
    • Minimum five years of experience
    • Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner
    • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively, orally and in writing with various audiences
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, and Excel with strong attention to detail
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship
    • Under state law, all cannabis industry employees must be over the age of 21 years of age

    • Ability to hear and respond to alarms or warnings from machinery
    • Work in environments with temperature variations, including exposure to heat, cold, and humidity, as well as working in environments with controlled temperature and lighting
