Wellness Program Manager designs and implements wellness and work-life programs and policies to build a positive and appealing company culture that will enhance employee engagement, facilitate recruiting, and support productivity improvements. Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Wellness Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Additionally, Wellness Program Manager may manage on-site fitness facilities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Wellness Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The FESCO Programs Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of resident services staff and providing some direct service to un-housed and formerly un-housed families in our Banyan House transitional housing program. FESCO staff does whatever it takes to support un-housed families as they move from crisis to stability, end their homelessness, and find a place to call home, and the work happens both in the office, or out in the community. This role will uphold and champion the agency’s mission, vision, and values and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work culture.

     

    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Monitor day-to-day activities and programs offered at Banyan House and through our Meal and Children’s Program; provide direction as needed to ensure operations meet agency, contractual, regulatory and health/ safety requirements; work collaboratively with staff and program director to measure and evaluate program performance; collect program performance data and provide routine and on-request reports.
    • Responsible for scheduling shifts at Banyan House
    • Covers shifts as needed
    • Facilitates completion of move ins and exits
    • Responsible for reporting and tracking participant entry and exit data
    • Develop and maintain rapport with residents; respond to resident requests and feedback as required.
    • Maintain networking and referral relationships with local employers and other service providers.
    • Provide emergency response for facility and client emergencies.
    • Provide training/orientation to Children’s Program Volunteers.
    • Assign caseloads to Assistant Case Managers; monitor and coordinate services
    • Collaborate with staff to make decisions on acceptance and termination of residents.
    • Participate in fund development at duties as requested, e.g., provide client stories fundraising staff.
    • Administer and track Protective Factor Surveys, ASQ, ASQ-SE, and EPDS assessments as required
    • Provide referrals for further assessment/treatment services for any developmental concerns, learning disabilities, behavior problems, school readiness, victims of domestic violence, exposure to drug and alcohol issues in the family.
    • Ensure that all children are enrolled in school, assisting parents if necessary with this process.
    • Develop a community calendar of educational and recreational activities and events.
    • Coordinate with schools, community non-profit agencies and other funding sources to provide on-site tutoring, summer programs, and other resources for families.
    • Coordination of all Banyan House and site Children’s Program/staff and volunteer scheduling.
    • Coordination of CACFP Food Program at Banyan and Les Marquis assuring that monthly menus are being followed and that shopping and food bank pickups are in line with meal requirements.
    • Support families in obtaining and retaining permanent housing.
    • Complete rental calculations for Banyan House residents
    • Provide supportive services through weekly case management: vocational and employment assistance, general health and dental services, income support and benefits, substance abuse treatment, mental health services, money management, education assistance, etc.
    • Coordinate with landlords, housing providers and property managers to identify and help clients apply for available housing.
    • Provide case management support services to Banyan alumni clients as needed.

     Administrative Duties:

    • Prepare Monthly Food Bank Orders/Shopping Lists to be sent to Alameda County Food Bank.
    • Complete internal case file audits.
    • Assist Meal Services Coordinator with food menus to ensure it meets nutrition and funding source guidelines.
    • Collect, manage and track all program data for assigned programs. Maintain accurate records in accordance with FESCO policies and procedures.
    • Prepare initial family case management assessment and life skills case management plan.
    • Work with FESCO Administer to assure updates are entered in HMIS data system
    •  Review and approve meal and bed night roster for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual requirements.
    • Monitor completion, submission and return HMIS entry and exit forms to program files.

    Staff Supervision:

    • Supervise and provide performance management for shift staff including work observation, formal and informal appraisal, and corrective action.
    • Direct supervision of Activity Leaders (2) and Children’s Program
    • Direct Supervision of Cook (.30FTE) at Banyan House (Direct Supervision of Meal Services Coordinator (1FTE) and CAFCP Program
    • Direct Supervision of Assistant Case Managers (2) at Banyan House
    • Task Supervise interns, and volunteers responsible for the delivery of Children’s services at Banyan House and Les Marquis.
    • Interact regularly with on-site staff individually (via regular 1:1 meetings); facilitate staff meetings.
    • Participate in recruiting and hiring activities following agency personnel practices, establish and maintain clear expectations for shift duties, and provide and conduct staff development and training opportunities.
    • Review and approve timesheets for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual requirements in a timely manner.

     Contract Management:

    • Serve as a liaison with all funders on all programmatic and operations issues.
    • Attend all funder-required meetings, events, and trainings.
    • Ensure delivery of program elements in compliance with contract language.
    • Submit all necessary documents and reports to funder by deadlines.
    • Work with supervisor and La Familia Administration to ensure appropriate contract expenditures.
    • Provide support to Program Director during audits and monitoring visits.

    Other

    • Attend trainings and participate in events relevant to key responsibilities
    • Track and regularly report on key metrics for responsible function areas
    • Leads and collaborate on special projects related to agency objectives as appropriate

    Qualifications


    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • MSW degree or a closely related field desired.
    • Minimum three years of supervisor role experience working in the social services field.
    • Must have two years of field experience working with people with serious mental illness, dual diagnosis and/or the unhoused population
    • Spanish Bilingual Required
    • Non-Profit and Community Based Organization experience highly desirable.
    • Demonstrates and models excellent “customer service” orientation, especially in the ability to interact with people at all levels within and outside the agency.
    • Thinks independently and can make informed decisions when needed.
    • Exercises extreme discretion with the ability to hold, balance and transmit public and confidential information needed by various parties.
    • Proficient using MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    • Acquires or maintains proficiency in using Google Drive products, including Docs, Sheets, and Forms.
    • Valid CA Driver’s license
