Welder jobs in West Virginia
Welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Being a Welder inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Additionally, Welder may prepare the materials and set up for a welding device or robot. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Welder works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Our client, a stable organization with over 100 years of history in the industrial equipment industry, is seeking experienced or junior Welders to join their Fabrication team :
WELDER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to successfully weld utilizing TIG welding and fabrication techniques
- Inspect incoming materials to blueprint specs for use in fabricating parts
- Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in safe operating order, perform basic repairs on minor machine malfunctions, and communicate issues to supervisors as needed
- Experience or some level of familiarity with operating fabrication machines
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
WELDER SALARY & BENEFITS :
- Competitive salary, depending on experience $18-$25 / hr
