Welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Being a Welder inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Additionally, Welder may prepare the materials and set up for a welding device or robot. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Welder works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Welding
    • Prefer the ability to read blueprints but not required.
    • Work with fabrication and welding team to support custom truck manufacturing.
    • Welding sub-assembly components
    • Operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
    • Other duties as assigned by manager.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
    • Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged/extended periods.
    • Requires lifting up to 75 pounds frequently.
    • Requires stretching to reach items up to 75 pounds.
    • Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned.
    • Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
    • Occasionally works at heights using ladder or mechanical lift.
    • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity.
    • Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
    • Requires working in a fast paced environment.
    • Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.
    • Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations.
    • Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
    PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • MIG welding is required
    • TIG welding is preferred but not required.
    • Experience with various forms of welding.
    • Knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication techniques.
    • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a focus on exceptional customer service.
    • Candidates must be a motivated individual who can work independently.
    • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
    JOB DETAILS:
    • Type: Hourly
    • Compensation Range:$24.00-$27.00
    • Bonus Eligibility: No
    • Shift: 4 days a week with 10 hour days
    • Reports To: Plant Production and Operations Manager
