This job is at The Larimore, a historic wedding venue in St. Louis, MO. This position would involve overseeing the evening/night portion of the weddings. We are an extremely busy and successful wedding venue and need an employee who can join the rapid growth.
This person would take over for the daytime event coordinator around 4:00pm. They are there typically during the ceremony and then into the evening. They are the venue representative during the wedding. They make sure that the couple have everything they need from the venue and that all vendors are helped with anything they may need. They also ensure the venue rules and guidelines are followed throughout the evening.
The ideal candidate must be very friendly, extremely trustworthy, have a strong ethical code, and represent the venue in a positive, upbeat, and professional manner. Must be able to work as a team player, and be able to lift heavy equipment such as tables and chairs. Weekend availability is required as well as the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the venue's needs.
Duties:
- Oversee the operations of the establishment during the "night" shift (4:00pm-11:00pm)
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
- Manage and supervise external vendors and guests during the event
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations (such as DJ, caterers, etc.)
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the establishment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a wedding, restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in events management and planning
