We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our customers’ team. The Project Manager will be responsible for performing their job duties in a safe and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the construction industry, but training is provided.

Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment drug screening. The

Project Manager will be responsible to get to various job sites throughout the area and manager multiple foremen.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

o Call in public and private locates.

o Make copies of prints for field and yourself

o Make sure dropbox has all information needed or the crew.

o Make sure crew has all equipment lined up and mobilized to the job.

o Staking/layout is complete and ready before crew shows up.

o Make sure the customer has everything ready for us before we mobilize.

o Meet with crew on first day of job and walk-through the job with them. Make sure they understand the job and prints.

o Once a job has started, make job site visits to make sure everything is running smoothly, answer any questions and keeping things lined out ahead of them.

o Safety on the job is being followed per OSHA standards and customer/COMPANY policies Managing subcontractors.

o As-builts once job is complete.

o Report injuries and other accidents to the VP of Construction

o Continued communication with the customer throughout the job

o Observe and promote safety compliance.

o Complete 20 hours of COMPANY required safety training annually.

o Participate in random drug screenings.

o A positive can-do attitude and openness to trying things new ways.

Office Duties

· Manpower (making sure manpower is where it needs to for your crews).

· Assisting in recruiting and retention of employees

· Assisting with managing company equipment on your site. Making sure all equipment is working per manufactures recommendations and all equipment work orders are filled out and or taken care of.

· Control and tracking of rental equipment.

· Scheduling (this will be a group effort)

· Communication between the Columbus PM’S and the Cincinnati/Dayton PM’S

· Training of new employees and teaching them the COMPANY Way

· Gather all information needed for billing, once per month.

· Approve and sign job cost invoices.

· Manage T&M tickets.

· Look at new projects to help with estimating, as needed.

· Customer relations

· Bring in new business.

· Communicating issues and solving issues with manpower, schedule, and equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience and knowledge of underground utility construction

· Customer service skills to communicate with inspectors and administration to develop positive working relationships.

· Analytical skills for handling unexpected issues and delays

· Initiative for generating business opportunities.

· Leadership skills for delegating tasks to subcontractors and employees

· Speaking skills for providing clear orders to subcontractors and employees

· Technical skills for interpreting construction methods, specifications, and drawings

· History of working successfully with a team to complete a common goal, “team player.”

· Time management skills to meet deadlines.

· Writing skills to document work progress, change orders and everyday reporting.

· Regularly report project status to project managers and or GC

· Knowledge and experience on how to read and understand blueprints.

· In-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines, equipment, and construction procedures

· High school or equivalent education

· Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record

· Subject to pre-employment drug test and MVR

· Ability to follow instruction.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with crew, leadership, and clients.

· Must be able to meet physical demands of the position; ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

· Excellent vision or the use of prescription lenses

· Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

· Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time in unfavorable weather conditions.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

o Provide suggestions for continued improvement

o Minimum of 5 years of operating equipment

o Computer skills

o OSHA 30 and trench / excavation safety training / competent person training
