Job Description
LCG, Inc. is looking for a Project Manager to lead a team managing the content available on public facing Internet sites, Intranet sites, and internal Drupal sites. The ideal candidate has experience in content management, Federal contracting experience, with a desire to apply and hone their project management skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the assigned project(s) and scope(s)
Preparing reports and plans, supervising contractor staff, issuing assignments, monitoring the contract progress, and maintaining budget control
Engaging with stakeholders to receive content management requests, coordinate completion of associated content updates, oversee quality checks, and assess usefulness and benefits of services provided
Provide health/science content writing and editing for the agency’s various public-facing forums
Develop of content for websites, white papers, speeches, press releases, Congressional testimonies, blogs, social media channels, video scripts and other outreach initiatives.
Continually identify improvement opportunities and influence adjustments for greater stakeholder benefits
Experience developing and organizing web content for an organization
Experience using Drupal 9 Content Management for a large public-facing organizational website
Technical understanding and ability to collaborate with IT staff on application development, requirement communication, 508 remediations, application testing and feedback
Familiarity with search engine optimization based on search and other data as well as web and social media analytics tools and analysis
Follow Plain Language Guidelines when creating content for the agency, across product lines, and departments
Knowledge of Section 508 and W3C WCAG 2.0 guidelines, techniques, and best practices
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of ten (10) years of related web design and development experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Demonstrated experience writing health and science content for Websites and online publications directed to a broad audience
Demonstrated health and science policy background
Experience communicating technical ideas to a general audience, and translating scientific language into plain language
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
