Additionally, Web Security Administrator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. Summary: The IT Security Administrator will act as the senior IT security expert responsible for implementation and monitoring of the IT security plan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to)
- Coordinates and oversees all security assignments and functions for Information Technology.
- Conducts security risk assessments, prepares recommendations including budget and resource requirements to mitigate security risks.
- Implements security measures to protect systems, data and end-users.
- Identifies and implements security controls and audits for user access across the organization and information systems.
- Audits and aligns uer access privledges based on job duties.
- Develops and implements business continuity plans, coordinating with department leaders to assess risk and define procedures. Identifies strategies to create redundancies based on risks and priorities.
- Identifies and recommends security products
- Prepares reports related to cybersecurity for senior leadership and appropriate committees
- Educates the organization on cyber security awareness and best practices.

Education and/or Experience:
- Associates degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) with a focus on Information Systems/Computer Science including a minimum 5 years of experience focused on IT Security Administration.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Knowledge of computer and system hardware/software along with a strong understanding of LAN/WAN and communication environments. Knowledge of healthcare and business software deployed in a hospital environment.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficiency in project management, analytical problem solving, system planning, overseeing computer systems operations, and organizing and managing user support.
