    Job Summary:

    The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) is looking for highly skilled individuals who are committed to service, community, and teamwork to be part of our amazing culture of helping Arizonans reach their full potential through temporary assistance.

    The DES, Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Systems Administrator Senior with the Systems and Automation Administration (SAA). This position is responsible for providing daily support, maintenance, development, and governance of all enterprise software systems utilized within the Division.

    Job Duties:

    - Serve as a senior technical resource for the DCSS IT Administration.
    - Respond to service requests or incidents.
    - Conduct systems analysis, identify and characterize incidents, generate incident reports, and investigate suspicious activity.
    - Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of various system applications.
    - Provide customer service and answer user inquiries regarding computer software, hardware operation and the use and interface of systems and software applications.
    - Develop procedures and training manuals and conduct presentations.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

    Knowledge of:
    - Working knowledge of programming languages, database management systems and development platforms.
    - OnBase System Administration.
    - System design and structure, including characteristics of individual components and how they interact or interface.
    - Creating technical documentation.
    - Server, Systems and software administration.

    Skill in:
    - Create programming language applications to automate business processes.
    - Planning, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting the ongoing development of DCSS applications.
    - Prioritizing and planning work activities, setting goals and objectives, using time efficiently, communicating activities and results as appropriate.

    Ability to:
    - Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with teams and individuals at all levels across organizations.
    - Resolve incidents/problems efficiently and effectively, recognizing customers' competence levels, and being able to approach each level appropriately.
    - Work with minimal guidance, regularly participate in reviews of assigned and completed tasks.
    - Participate in reviews of assigned and completed tasks and provide relevant metrics as needed.

    Selective Preference(s):

    - Bachelor’s degree or 5 or more years of experience in systems administration (or equivalent experience).

    Pre-Employment Requirements:

    - Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
    - Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
    - Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
    - The position will require the possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12). Individuals may be required to use their personal motor vehicle.
