Web Product Management Director manages the lifecycle of new technology products or feature enhancements. Researches and develops the roadmap for new products or feature enhancements and plans and oversees the product lifecycle. Being a Web Product Management Director gathers insights from customers and the marketplace to understand needs, new technologies, and trends in the market. Guides the conceptualization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes. Additionally, Web Product Management Director ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated with stakeholders to successfully release new products on time and within budget. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Web Product Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Web Product Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Manages the staff of the Product Department, planning, directing and monitoring activities to assure the timely and accurate completion of projects. Manages the Product Department’s efforts to develop and maintain profitable and competitive product and pricing by line of business for states as assigned. Monitors and responds when appropriate to regulatory developments and competitor products, filings and rates. As chair of various strategy committees, establishes profit and growth objectives by line of business, monitors profit and growth performance and coordinates strategies with Marketing, Underwriting, Claims and other departments to achieve these objectives.

    Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent related experience preferred.
    Experience: 9 - 11 years or Master's Degree equivalent plus 7 - 9 years.
    Knowledge: Extensive level of professional knowledge in field across multiple disciplines and broad business segment. Extensive knowledge of management practices.
    Decision Making: Decisions have a significant impact on results for a major portion of a company. Interprets and operationalizes company policies. Determines organizational objectives; sets policy. Responsible for operations of major significance to the organization. Decisions potentially affect financial, employee, or public relations standing of the company or a major business segment. Problems are abstract and impact multiple functions and portions of the company.
    Supervision Received: Work is received in objective-oriented terms, with an emphasis on strategic as well as more near-term priorities. Work is reviewed from a strategic, relatively long-term perspective against major objectives.
    Leadership: Manages multiple functions, typically via subordinate managers, or manages an exceptionally high impact function. Develops and communicates function organizational vision. Ensures that overall organizational objectives, budgets, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
    Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement: May have overall responsibility for the operation of a major profit center or segment of the company. Reallocates resources as required to meet goals.
    Client Contacts: Frequent contacts with internal and external parties at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling project phases. Communication typically involves persuasion, and negotiation with middle and senior management levels.

    Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Three or more years of supervisory/managerial experience. Expertise in personal lines essential. Experience developing and implementing products, underwriting and coverage programs.
