Description

Concept Solutions is looking for a Graphic Designer/Web Designer, this position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining graphics and website updates for a federal agency. The successful candidate will ensure that the agency's modern graphical style is visually appealing, user-friendly, accessible, and aligns with the agency's mission and objectives.

 

• Designs, develops, and revises graphics using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, XD) based on direction from the federal customer. 
• Uses advanced desktop publishing, page layout, or typesetting software to design and develop high quality textual and graphic compositions to communicate complex technical information.
• Generates, manipulates, and integrates graphic images, animations, sound, text, and video generated with automated tools into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs.
• Create and implement design standards and style guides to ensure consistent branding across all platforms.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to translate their needs and ideas into design and functionality.
• Design, develop, and update websites and web applications using a variety of software applications, techniques, and tools.
• Ensure website design is optimized for desktop and mobile interfaces.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces for websites and web applications.
• Perform and analyze website performance tests, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Stay current with the latest design trends and technologies to keep the agency's web presence modern and effective.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 
• Minimum  of six years of experience as a graphics designer/web designer or a similar role.
• Experience with graphics using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, XD)
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, understanding and familiarity of E-Business practices, SharePoint, Tableau, JAVA, Perl, and FrontPage® extensions and other relevant web design coding languages.
• Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
• Familiarity with federal government website standards and accessibility guidelines (Section 508/WCAG 2.0) is preferred.
• Understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience.
• Prior experience working with a federal agency preferred (FAA experience a plus).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Be able to work without supervision
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a Background Investigation check
