Web Content Director establishes and directs the strategic long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the curation of content utilized on web, mobile, and other platforms. Develops and directs consistent methodologies to analyze content consumption data and to define content needs. Being a Web Content Director determines the long-term resources required to accomplish the organization's business objectives. Leads negotiations with vendors to obtain content. Additionally, Web Content Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Web Content Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Web Content Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. We’re not every manufacturer. The Opportunity. The Web Content Specialist will assist in managing content and day-to-day updates via Magento (CMS) Admin.
The Job.
- Help Create, Edit and Manage Product Catalog within our CMS platforms
- Will work with business partners, clients (internal and external), project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to manage content for our customers.
- Responsible for ensuring all customer-facing material is implemented correctly and efficiently and defects are completed per SLA timelines.
- Responsible for reviewing, writing, and managing content requirements.
- Ensure that content and other site features function correctly.
Requirements
· Working knowledge of graphic design, webpage construction, web usability best practices/standards.
· Understanding of HTML, CSS, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and JavaScript. Magento experience a plus.
· Microsoft Excel knowledge
· Ability to multitask
· Self-starter with the ability to work alone or with a team
· 1-2 years of Content Management System experience.
· 1-4 years of Analytics experience
· A/B testing experience
· A passion for digital technologies and an inquiring mind that brings new ideas and new thinking to the organization.
· Resourceful and tenacious to find solutions and drive project to completion.
· Requires some after-hours and/or weekend commitment as projects and website production releases require.
· The individual should be a self-started with strong problem-solving skills.
· Extremely pro-active, anticipating needs and staying out ahead of them.
· Extremely organized with unfailing attention to detail.
· Adept at learning and applying new technologies.
