Web Applications Development Manager manages the design, development, and maintenance of internal and external websites for an organization.   • Position Summary: 

     The Business Development Manager is a highly strategic role that will shape how and where Bettcher creates new revenue segments moving forward.  The successful candidate plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will has demonstrated successes in business development, a proven track record of achieving sales growth targets, and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.

    Responsibilities:

    • New Customers: Expand customer base into new customer segments or adjacent markets, including new channels to market.
    • Customer/Channel Management:  Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and channel partners.  Develop programs to drive growth and accountability through the channel.
    • Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate opportunities for market expansion, including new geographic regions and industry segments.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support to develop convincing value propositions, marketing collateral, advertising opportunities, etc.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new markets, trends, opportunities, and areas for growth within the food processing and industrial markets.
    • Strategic Planning: Develop, execute, and oversee a strategic business development plan to achieve sales growth targets and expand Bettcher Industries' market share.
    • Lead Generation & Conversion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through brand recognition, lead generation and conversion, networking, and relationship building.
    • Proposal Development: Collaborate with the product and technical teams to create compelling proposals that address client requirements and showcase Bettcher Industries' capabilities.
    • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with clients, including pricing discussions and contract terms, to successfully close deals.

     Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
    • Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in business development, sales, or a related role within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
    • Strong understanding of the food processing industry and industrial markets.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.

     

    Knowledge/Skills

    • Track record of identifying market opportunities and putting plans in place to drive strategic business growth.
    • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Displays a high level of critical thinking.
