    This position is responsible for strategic and operational leadership of Peoples Services, Inc.’s enterprise application systems. This responsibility includes design, development, implementation, support, and maintenance. The director will work closely with senior warehouse and transportation leadership, internal IT leadership, and leadership of administrative departments to develop and execute Peoples Services, Inc.’s application strategy. The position provides leadership with analysis and recommendations to improve and expand applications, system integration and application performance.

    This position is responsible for the management and ongoing implementation of Peoples Services, Inc.’s warehouse management system, transportation management system, accounting system, HRIS, safety and compliance system, data visualation/Tableau, Salesforce, and other applications. The Director participates in application development activities as necessary.

    • Develop excellent understanding of institutional process needs as they span or interact with the specific viewpoints of individual departments. Solutions should be developed to maximize system improvements from the broadest perspective for Peoples Services, Inc. as a whole
    • Serve as liaison between functional users and technical support staff for administrative systems
    • Stay current on product availability to meet company needs and propose new initiatives to meet identified needs
    • Ensure the implementation and oversee change management process for application development and updates.
    • Coordinate process and timing of regular upgrades, applications of program fixes, etc., for existing programs, and integrate with on-going projects
    • Develop and oversee on-going training program for new and experienced users of administrative systems
    • Design project teams and strategies to coordinate efforts of people from appropriate departments, outside consultants, vendors, and other ‘user’ groups in meeting Peoples Services, Inc.’s goals for use of applications.
    • When administrative systems projects are being considered:

    · Develop needs analyses of potential projects, identify potential solutions and

    vendors, create requests for proposals, coordinate evaluation of proposals, and

    facilitate decisions.

    · Prepare project scope and develop project plans, including project tasks, resource

    allocation, timelines, and deliverables.

    · Design and carry out implementation process. Anticipate problems and resolve issues where conflicting needs and solutions surface.

    · Revise plans and process as needed to respond to unanticipated problems, and minimize negative consequences to priority needs.

    • Develop and lead a high-performing application development team.

    · Ability to think strategically, prioritize and leverage existing resources to accomplish goals.

    · Analytical mind capable of managing numerous information sources and providing data analysis reports to executive leadership and other stakeholders in a simple, effective and succinct manner.

    · Ability to think outside of the box, adapt to a fast-moving landscape and keep pace with latest thinking, processes and technologies.

    · Strong customer focus – able to meet the demands of our customers (internal and external).

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with people from different backgrounds and cultures across different geographies.

    · Flexible and adaptable – capable of changing direction where required and show flexibility to meet new demands.

    · A proven record of dealing with complex application projects and meeting conflicting demands.

    · Experience with warehouse management and transportation management systems, Sage, UKG Pro, Tableau, OnBase, or similar applications.

    · Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within assigned region.

    · A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

    · An MBA is highly desirable.

    · At least 5 years of proven experience with 2 years in a management role.

    · Experience successfully leading diverse teams and managing their career development.

    • Understanding of software development cycles and software development tools
    • Ability to facilitate problem-solving among administrative groups with varying needs and priorities, and to communicate well with administrative users, technical staff, and senior management
    • Knowledge of applicable laws, guidelines or regulations as they relate to IT
    • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills across organizational boundaries
    • Ability to apply application development in solving business problems
    • Ability to work with a range of technical staff to develop joint solutions

    The physical requirements of this job include sitting with frequent walking around, clarity of vision, speaking and listening ability. The ability to drive to and from company locations is required. The mental requirements of this job include general intelligence, motor coordination skills, coordination of hands, eyes and feet, verbal and numerical intelligence. The workplace environmental conditions are that of various temperatures and settings.

    Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential job function of this position. In addition, the duties of this job need to be performed at our locations for the purpose of interaction and collaboration with colleagues and/or clients as necessary, the ability to adequately supervise the associate, and/or the availability of necessary equipment utilized for regular job functions.
