Wealth Management Specialist develops individualized wealth management financial plans and recommendations to help clients attain financial goals by selecting investment solutions to minimize risk and grow wealth. Uses broad knowledge of investment products to educate clients on available investment options and create planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial objectives. Being a Wealth Management Specialist keeps abreast of economic conditions and new financial products to inform and advise clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and create up-sell opportunities. Monitors client portfolios to ensure appropriate risk profile. Additionally, Wealth Management Specialist follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. May be involved with selling or coordinating the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent. May have the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Typically reports to a manager. The Wealth Management Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Wealth Management Specialist typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

    Position Summary

    The Estate Planning Specialist will work with our Advisors to educate clients on estate planning and business succession and will serve as a resource for clients who are working through the estate planning process with their outside legal team. The Estate Planning Specialist will also serve as an internal resource, including by assisting our Client Service team with beneficiary designations, account titling, handling account transitions after a death, and other matters. Orgel Wealth Management is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice to clients and no aspect of the position will involve the provision of legal advice. 

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    •  Educate clients on basic and advanced estate planning techniques
    •  Collaborate with our clients’ attorneys to design estate plans that efficiently and effectively transfer wealth
    •  Work with trustees regarding the management and distribution of managed trust assets
    •  Provide information to clients on business formation and divestiture strategies, including business succession planning
    •  Work with Advisors to identify potential basic and advanced estate planning techniques that could help clients accomplish their goals
    •  Review and analyze estate planning and business formation documents
    •  Serve as an internal resource on issues related to estate planning, account titling, beneficiary designations, business formation and succession, and similar matters
    •  Perform other duties as required that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the position and firm
    • Conduct research and prepare written updates on issues related to estate planning and business succession planning as needed.

    Work Environment

    •  Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise level (e.g., computers, telephones, printers, and customer traffic)
    •  Occasional weekend or evening hours as required by the demands of the role
    •  Travel between the organization’s locations will likely be required on occasion

    Requirements

    Education and Experience Requirements


    Required:

    •  BA/BS degree from an accredited university
    •  2 years of experience working with individuals on estate planning or business formation
    •  Advanced knowledge of estate planning strategies and business formation and succession strategies

    Preferred:

    •  JD degree
    •  Experience drafting and preparing estate plans and developing business formation and succession strategies

    •  Understand and adhere to all firm policies and procedures

      employees
    •  Demonstrate high levels of integrity
    •  Communicate effectively orally and in writing
    •  Function well in a team environment by maintaining a positive, collaborative approach
    •  Work independently with self-motivation
    •  Leverage technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Practifi (Salesforce), Tamarac, and other software applications as necessary
