Watchmaker repairs, cleans and adjusts watches. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Watchmaker has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Watchmaker works under immediate supervision. Must have minimum of 2 years experience and/or formal training in repairing and servicing high-end and luxury timepieces, includes all types of complicated movements and knowledge of proper refinishing techniques. Established vendor relationships a plus. Must be able to take written and spoken instructions in English, and complete work in a timely manner.
