Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager jobs in Utica, NY
Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Responsibilities of the Facility Maintenance Mechanic:
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to company health and safety requirements.
- Ability to install and operate remediation systems including but not limited to pumps, filters, vessels, media change-outs, etc.
- Cleaning and maintaining shop and equipment.
- Operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, Vac-Trucks, etc.
- Gather and assist with evaluating samples.
Requirements of the Facility Maintenance Mechanic:
- Valid driver's license
- Waste water experience
- Grade 1 Biological Operator with waste water certification, preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills and a professional attitude.
