Overview:
We are currently seeking a Waste Water Operator to join our team. As a Waste Water Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in wastewater treatment processes. This is a vital role in ensuring the proper treatment and disposal of wastewater to protect the environment and public health.
Duties:
- Operate and monitor equipment used in wastewater treatment processes, including pumps, valves, blowers, and chemical feed systems
-Operate forklift and front end loader
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
- Respond to alarms and emergencies, troubleshoot issues, and take appropriate corrective actions
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tankers or loaders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Ability to plan out and coordinate multiple projects to maintain time efficiency
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
-Excellent time management
-Attention to detail
Preferences:
- Previous experience in wastewater treatment or related field preferred
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance
- Class A or B CDLs preferred
