Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Water Operations Services (1 position): Operate light equipment/vehicles and use power equipment such as chain saws, gas-powered weed-eaters, pole-saws, and trimmers. Additional duties may include pressure-washing structures, hosing process tanks, painting, window washing and landscaping.
Casual, Non-represented positions
40 hours per week (8hr Shifts or 10hr Shifts), limited duration
Hours may include overtime and weekends
Position will work in the Summer and early Fall
Must meet all qualifications and requirements as listed in the Position Description.Combination of education, training or experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Must be able to perform manual labor for extended periods of time under adverse weather conditions; climb ladders and stairs; work in confined spaces; stand or walk for extended periods of time; bend, push, and squat; sufficient knowledge and manual dexterity to use hand and power tools. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be 18 years or older.
Possession of and the ability to maintain a valid Oregon Drivers License.
