Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Treatment Manager is directly responsible for managing the daily operations of NEW Water’s two wastewater treatment facilities and Treatment staff. This position manages the facility operating processes to provide for effective and economical treatment of wastewater and associated residuals to meet State and Federal operating permit requirements. This role develops new operating plans to meet changing process needs, new equipment, and regulatory requirements.
