Waste Management Manager develops and implements procedures for the disposal of hazardous or contaminated materials per governmental regulations. Oversees the design and implementation of waste inspection, handling, and disposal systems. Being a Waste Management Manager trains staff in the safe and proper handling of waste materials. Monitors and reviews regulations and trends and maintains effective waste management policies and procedures that support business operations. Additionally, Waste Management Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Waste Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
