Automotive WARRANTY CLERK
BASIC FUNCTION:
Assisting warranty customers with coordination of vehicle repairs. Maintaining accurate and up to date customer and vehicle information. Assisting as needed in various aspects of the full service process of incoming, processing, repairing and return of repaired vehicle to customer.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Answer incoming calls and direct call traffic to specific Service Advisors
· Assisting walk in customers at the front counter if the Service Advisor is not present.
· Assisting customers with scheduling their vehicles for warranty repairs
· Accessing customer accounts by computer utilizing organizational software system to access and update customer, vehicle and other pertinent information
· Performing full walk around vehicle check, collecting mileage and other pertinent information of vehicles brought in for service/warranty repair
· Assisting in opening service tickets for repairs to be made and obtaining status updates for Service Advisors when needed
· Counting and posting money to a closed customer ticket per repair completion and customer pick up
· Locating and moving vehicles to specific location for customer pick after repair completion
· Create a positive customer service experience for all customers and team members
· Explain, advise on and promote all services provided by the organization as opportunity arises
· May perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1 years of exceptional customer service skill; Automotive field preferred
· Ability to calculate, count back change, post entries and perform other basic cash transactions
· Basic math skills required
· Ability to communicate effectively with people; maintain calm in any situation and diffuse potentially hostile situations
· Must have valid driver’s license in good standing
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite
· Bi-Lingual skills a PLUS!
