We are seeking a new member to join our accounting team as an Accounts Payable Supervisor. Under the direction of the Accounts Payable Manager, the supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department and completing any additional tasks as needed. The corporate office for our family of retail stores, ABC Warehouse, Hawthorne Appliance and Mickey Shorr, is located in Pontiac, MI. Family owned and operated since 1963, we specialize in household appliances, mattresses, furniture and home and car electronics. We have grown to 57 brick and mortar retail locations in multiple states, including several internet channels.
Job Duties:
· Completing ABC month end for A/P & appropriate reporting
· Monitor, review & ensure accuracy of A/P transactions
· Responding to all audit inquiries
· Mentor, direct, coach, train and evaluate A/P team
· Ensure timely and accurate processing of A/P aging, vendor owed balances, debit memos, and certificate of insurance application compliance
· Ensure accounting and company policies and procedures are followed
· Participate in company continuous improvement initiatives
· Complete other duties as assigned by management
