Warehouse Supervisor supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Being a Warehouse Supervisor optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Additionally, Warehouse Supervisor utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implements strong safety polices and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Warehouse Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Warehouse Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Supervisor, Distribution Center (Lab) is responsible for managing and directing the daily operations of the Distribution Center, including but not limited to supporting order processing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, tracking of lot numbers and expirations of dated material, managing departmental receiving, shipping along with ensuring DaVita Labs quality and policies are not compromised. Managing supply and inventory of all related support to both internal and external customers in order to meet departmental SLA (Service Level Agreement). This position reports to the Manager, Distribution Center (Lab).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plans, organizes and supervises team to ensure high quality customer service
- Execute operational plans to include equipment, supplies and
teammates to promote effective use of resources ensuring appropriate
business results at all times
- Enforce quality, operational and department policies and procedures
- Utilize proactive problem solving to make decisions and prioritize
assignments
- Communicate consistently with internal leadership
2. Provide leadership to direct reports:
- Facilitate teammate development (PDRs, coaching, mentoring, DaVita
training, outside training); collaborate with direct reports to create
professional development goals
- Help direct reports overcome any organizational obstacles encountered
3. Create reports and analyze data related to key performance metrics to make
equipment recommendation and Implement changes to operations
4. Other duties as assigned
