The Pictsweet Company is growing! Family owned and operated for 75 years, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots. We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our vegetable processing facilitiy in Bridgeville, DE. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the activities of the Warehouse, Dry Warehouse, and Pallets, including responsibility for inventory management, receiving of materials, and distribution and shipment of frozen vegetables.

EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 5 years supervisory experience in a major warehousing and distribution system, food industry preferred. Experience should include budget responsibility (development, submission, monitoring and target compliance), Personnel and Staffing Management (interviewing, selection, training, directing, scheduling, evaluating, controlling, disciplining, and rewarding), inventory control of a complex, high volume, integrated receiving/distribution system, payroll responsibility, forklift training and repair. Experience with automated systems required (i.e. data base management of inventory, tracking, and retrieval).
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED plus 5 years supervisory experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Warehouse Supervisor must have knowledge and understanding of warehousing logistic fundamentals. Supervisor must have moderate mathematical reasoning ability and a basic understanding of applied statistics. Supervisor must have an understanding of business law as applied to warehousing and distribution functions. This knowledge is normally gained through a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Logistics, Business, Organizational Leadership or a related field.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Must possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Supervisor must be computer proficient with spreadsheets and word processing. Must be forklift certified. Supervisor must be a proficient trainer of subordinate personnel (including forklift certification and inventory management systems). Supervisor must work in collegial manner with other departments to accomplish corporate objectives while achieving departmental goals.
