We are seeking a motivated Process Technician to assist with daily production and process optimization of our injection molding machines.

This position is responsible for having the knowledge and proficiency for operating plastic injection molding machinery and tools. As a Process Technician, you will set up machine controls, plastic molding process parameters/ settings regulating molding process conditions (i.e., temperatures, pressure and cycle times, according to knowledge of plastics and molding process specific parameters-settings), assist in changing of molds as needed, start up production, and troubleshoot any and all associated problems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performs basic setup and operation of plastic injection molding machines
• Perform basic set up functions and troubleshoot for robotic/automation systems
• Perform start-up and shut-down procedures
• Troubleshoot injection molding, auxiliary, and secondary operations
• Review the production schedule alongside staff supervision at the beginning of the shift
• Notifies Maintenance Supervisor if the mold, machine, or production equipment is not capable to meet the quoted/ defined cycle time or part quality
• Assists with maintenance personnel for machine repair on an as needed basis
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products
• Takes active interest in the quality of products
• Takes an interest in the health and safety of the company
• Performs all other duties as assigned
