Wafer Process Technician performs tests and experiments required for wafer processing. Sets up processing equipment and performs minor adjustments to equipment within guidelines. Being a Wafer Process Technician designs and executes test runs and disseminates results to facilitate engineering designs. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Wafer Process Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Wafer Process Technician works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job will be performed in an a production setting that is non-climate controlled, reaching extreme heat levels during summer months, with moderate to loud noise levels. This role will routinely work around and on production equipment, will operate computers, hand tools, forklifts, and handle raw materials. The processing department may be exposed to hazardous materials. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment for the position.

Climbing occasionally, stooping occasionally, crouching occasionally, standing for 8 or more hours per day, walking frequently, pushing frequently, pulling frequently, gasping frequently, repetitive motions frequently, lifting: 0 – 80#, Must be able to use and maneuver small hand tools and/or power tools; Able to work in a manufacturing environment with extreme heat up to 120 degrees; Wear Necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time hourly position with schedules that are to meet production demands. Assigned schedules are I hour shifts as listed below:
Overtime is worked 25% of the year that be voluntary or mandatory. This position may require you to work holidays and weekends to meet required demand.
