  • This position is with our company Airgard, which is the supplier of choice for major semiconductor companies around the world, providing Point of Use (POU) abatement (gas scrubber) solutions for deposition, etch and diffusion process tools, provides technical expertise, and delivers flawless support to meet a diverse array of our clients' needs.

    SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assigned customer development, sales growth and strategic planning.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
    • Quote new and existing customer requests.
    • Customer interaction to ensure proper items are being quoted.
    • Work with engineering and purchasing teams.
    • Coordinate and communicate with customer service team.
    • Ensure proper GM for products quoted.
    • Manage sales activities, standards, and direction in cooperation with various relevant managers.
    • Manage existing accounts.
    • Foster a team environment working collaboratively with other functional departments.
    • Participate with senior management in the creation and implementation of best-in-class business processes. Provide positive and constructive feedback as appropriate.
    • Create new and maintain existing relationships with key industry contacts; promote Airgard and Exyte Group products and services, and manage the sales process with these current, prospective customers and sales staff.
    • Follow up on bids, close on opportunities; conduct postmortem on lost bids, discuss with management and evaluate strategy adjustments.
    • Participate in technical product and system solution development and offerings for market needs.
    • Strong customer-service orientation.
    • Communicate internally and externally effectively and efficiently orally and in writing.
    • Travel to various market or customer locations, normal office environment, adherence to safety policies and practices of an office and production area as necessary.
    • Ability to acquire and maintain a passport.
    • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

    SPECIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS

    • If not located in Milpitas, CA this position will require a minimum of 6 months of training onsite at the Milpitas, CA office to become proficient with Airgard processes and products as well as Airgard customers.
    Education and/or experience
    • 3 years technical experience in the Semiconductor Industry or an Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Technology Degree (AAS) or higher.
    • Proven successful record of accomplishment of establishing new clientele, within industry is a plus.
    • Technical skills are a plus!
    Language skills
    • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
    • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small and large groups
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Ability to apply mathematical skills and analyze performance trends in data; Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving and decision-making tools and methods.

    REASONING ABILITY
    Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies and provide solutions; Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions; Ability to develop and support conclusions.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and move material. Occasional application of customer specific PPE may be required.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases, although for the most part the environment is usually quiet. Safety glasses and other required protection should be worn when out in the shop area.
