    What you'll do in this role:

    The primary purpose of this position is to lead a team of engineers and engineering supervisors to support Site Operations by providing the technical expertise and innovative solutions required to sustain and optimize ongoing production, ensure site quality, drive continuous improvement projects to completion, oversee critical functional teams, and/or support the transfers of new products and new technologies into the site.

    Be a Strategic Leader

    • Assume responsibility for engineering activities associated with a defined product line(s) or function at one of our manufacturing sites and accept accountability for delivering the Key Performance Goals/Targets established for that product line(s)

    • Serve as a key leader within the Operation's Team and contribute to the development of the annual goals and objectives for Operations from which your Key Performance Goals/Targets are derived

    • Lead your direct reports which include any combination of engineering supervisors and engineers supporting a manufacturing site's product lines and/or functions within the site

    • Understand and adhere to Integer's Values and all company policies, procedures, and work instructions defined in your training plan

    • Ensure compliance to the established Quality Management System

    • Ensure compliance to all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security protocols

    • Lead the execution of the engineering-related imperatives reflected in the site Hoshin Plan

    • Develop and execute, lead as needed, sustained Continuous Improvement processes

    • Define the goals and objectives for your direct repots with supporting Key Performance Indicators (metrics in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity)

    • Promote talent by developing individual growth and development plans and organizational succession plans

    • Manage by being present at the Gemba to observe and ask questions and by being an active listener

    • Model an open and inclusive communication style at the daily production boards, in the weekly engineering and operations' project update meetings, and in the monthly KPI Board reviews and Town Hall meetings

    • As part of your Leader Standard Work, engage with Associates at all levels and across all functions, finding time every week to join them for lunch, during breaks, and inviting them to your team meetings

    • Ensure one/one time with your direct reports regularly to monitor performance and check in on progress to Individual Development Plans

    • Interact, as appropriate, directly with your customers, internal and external; support the preparations of site and customer business reviews and participate in site visits and audits by customers or other parties, as needed

    • Partner with your peers on the Operations' Team, aligning on strategies, tactics, and actions needed, to achieve Operation's objectives

    • Contribute to the Site level KPI board; attend and contribute, as appropriate, to the daily production board meetings

    • Collaborate with the R&D and Product Development teams to appropriately support the Product Development Processes and Technology Development Processes with resources in support of new product and/or new technology launches

    • Embed Quality within the Engineering team - "I own Quality." Be a standard bearer for Quality in everything we do at Integer, by assuring adherence to our QMS, facilitating corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to the successful attainment of our quality KPI's and journey to 5 Sigma.

    • Perform other duties, as needed and as directed

    Champion Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategy Deployments:

    • Be a site champion for deployment of the systems and tools to optimize all production and engineering activities across the site.

    • Embrace the Manufacturing Excellence culture based on the Integer Production System and its five focus areas: Strategy Alignment, Leadership of Sustained Change, Standardization, Associate Engagement, and Systems & Process Optimization.

    • Participate in the development and vetting of production plans with representatives from other departments, such as Operations, Planning, Continuous Improvement, Customer Service, Quality, and Materials to ensure that production performance standards meet customer requirements.

    • Monitor the status of actual daily and longer-term performance against the production plan; drive actions to address off standard performance.

    • Achieve above ensuring change management and required customer notification are being followed.

    • Review the Technology Roadmaps developed within a business or for a product line and assess those initiatives that may be required at the site level to support implementation as well as likely impact on product growth strategies; develop strategic and tactical plans to provide supporting resources.

    What sets you apart:
    • Evidence that you learn, retain, and apply knowledge. It would be great if you could share examples of accumulated technical learnings and experiences that link directly to outlined expectations of this role. Having earned a bachelor's degree - preferably in Manufacturing, Engineering, or another technical discipline - is one way to demonstrate your abilities. Other ways include sharing examples of accumulated technical learnings and experiences, including previous technical management roles, over a period of 10 years that link directly to outlined expectations of this role.

    • Accomplished track record in previous engineering and engineering leadership roles in production environments where you owned the responsibilities for delivering results - particularly those KPIs noted above

    • First hand experiences implementing and/or sustaining Manufacturing Excellence and Lean practices

    • Demonstrated experiences with strategic and direct management of people in a fast paced and in complex manufacturing environments where products were made to stock and made to order

    • While not required for this position, your willingness to consider relocation opportunities and rotational assignments will provide additional opportunities for future career growth and progression within Integer.

    • A mastery of problem-solving skills and evidence that you are a critical thinker and thoughtful decision maker is needed and we value your certification as at least a Green Belt or equivalent. Previous experiences managing projects and holding Project Management certification is preferred.

    • Demonstrated financial acumen with the capability to navigate a typical Profit and Loss Statement, being able to explain how the delivered results from this role can support the achievement of the site's financial performance targets.

    • A tool kit of leadership skills, including awareness of what the concept of Emotional Intelligence is and how you engrain the beliefs that support your strengths as a people-developer

    • A calm demeanor that transcends the high energy, constantly changing production environment
