Being a Wafer Fabrication Operator ensures the quality of final product and provides reports to management. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Wafer Fabrication Operator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Wafer Fabrication Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. This is a first shift position with the hours from 7am to 4pm Mon-Fri. Overtime may be required on occasion.
Duties:
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process
- Operate machinery and equipment including machining tools, cutting machines, manual mill, soldering equipment, pipe threading machines, and press brake machines
- Fabricate metal structures or components based on project requirements
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet industry codes and standards
- Use forklifts and rigging equipment to move materials and finished products
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a welder with a strong background in welding techniques; MIG, TIG, Manual Mill, and Fabrication
- Ability to manipulate distorted parts to normality
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings and complete tack weld
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards
- Ability to operate various machinery and equipment related to welding processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during the welding process
