esponsible for the volunteer services provided to UnityPoint Health – Des Moines (UPH-DM, which includes Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital (ILH), Blank Children’s Hospital, Methodist West Hospital and John Stoddard Cancer Center. This position ensures that quality volunteer services are provided to patients and family, staff and community members. The Executive Director interprets volunteer services to the hospitals and is able to relate the hospitals’ services, goals and objectives to volunteers, maintaining a cooperative and consultative relationship between the hospitals and volunteers. The Executive Director is the primary staff and contact for the ILH Auxiliary, helping to guide their plans to support the hospital’s mission. The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership and guidance for the Not New Shop (thrift Store), located near the ILH campus. The result of successful performance in this position is highly motivated and effective volunteers, group, volunteer services team and thrift store team, which helps UPH-DM achieve its mission to Improve the health of the people and communities we serve.
