Volunteer Coordinator supervises and leads the daily undertakings of a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Leads the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for training and educating volunteers. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator evaluates and reviews volunteer schedules and makes adjustments as necessary. Ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Volunteer Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Overview:
The ReStore Volunteer Coordinator’s role is to heighten awareness and volunteer participation in the mission of GMHFH. This position oversees our ReStore volunteers at each of our three ReStores (Williston, Milton, and Swanton), with duties including recruitment, screening, scheduling, communication, acknowledgment of volunteers, and assisting with various other organizational activities. This position reports to the Volunteer Manager and requires regular travel between each of our three ReStores.

The initial pay rate for this position is $18-20 per hour. Initial compensation is determined based on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. Benefits include a health reimbursement plan, combined 200 hours of vacation and sick time, ten paid holidays, and a 20% staff discount at the Habitat Restore.
