Overview:

Skillsoft is seeking an experienced professional with demonstrated storytelling and media relations success, especially in edtech and e-learning. They will be an integral part of our corporate communications team, working cross-functionally to build awareness of our robust product portfolio among media, the industry, and our customers.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Develop and implement multifaceted, strategic communications and media relations plans to establish Skillsoft and its solutions as market leading.

• Build close relationships with Product Management and Product Marketing counterparts to collaborate on key launches, GTM moments, and storytelling opportunities.

• Bolster Skillsoft's media relations engine, focusing on how our platform and solutions drive growth for organizations and learners.

• Monitor media conversations related to industry trends and competitor innovations, carving out areas of opportunity for Skillsoft.

• Develop a range of communication materials including messaging, press releases, FAQs, presentations, and media statements in partnership with key stakeholders.

• Own engagement and proactive pitching of business, trade, and vertical press.

• Work directly with SMEs and executives to build platforms, provide training, and amplify media visibility.

• Collaborate closely with the broader Marketing team to amplify messages through owned, earned, and paid channels.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5-6 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related fields; B2B tech and agency experience is a plus.

• Deep experience in media relations and external storytelling with proven business, trade, and vertical media relationships.

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft persuasive messages, pitches, and storylines.

• Strong experience working with executive leaders and SMEs as a strategic thought partner.

• Proactive, growth mindset and a love for learning.

• Strong collaborator, with the ability to manage relationships with many stakeholders.

• Good instincts and sound judgement.

Target salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $125,000 annualized.
