Voice Communications Manager is responsible for managing the policies and procedures of voice communications. Ensures uninterrupted access to all voice telecommunication features including voicemail, ACD or PBX systems. Being a Voice Communications Manager oversees the design and implementation of voice telecommunications networks. Selects vendors and negotiates contracts. Additionally, Voice Communications Manager reviews reports on system specifications in support of system upgrades and makes final decision regarding updates. Involved in long-range or strategic voice communications plans. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Voice Communications Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Tacoma Arts Live is recognized for leadership in presenting world-class performing artists, and providing one of the largest performing arts education programs in Washington State - serving 50,000 students, teachers, and families annually in the South Puget Sound.
We are located in downtown Tacoma in the historic Tacoma Armory. Programs at Tacoma Arts Live include musicals, theater, comedy, dance, opera, concerts, film, lectures, family shows and other live events performed by touring and community organizations.
Position: Communications Manager
The Communications Manager comprehensively supports the communication efforts of Tacoma Arts Live and partners with staff across the organization for storytelling, content creation, and awareness building. The role ensures a consistent and unified message that aligns with the organization’s branding, relationship-building focus, and mission-based strategy. The position is responsible for internal and external communications, social media management, content creation, promotion and messaging, and public and media relations.
The job requires the employee to be onsite in Tacoma as required for meetings and in-person events, with flexibility to perform other responsibilities either remotely or in office.
The Communications Manager is a member of Tacoma Arts Live’s Advancement Team.
Salary is $55,000 - $62,000 DOE
