Voice Communications Analyst designs, reviews, analyzes, and maintains an organization's voice communications system. Makes suggestions to end users regarding voice communications software and hardware solutions, and offers support and troubleshooting. Being a Voice Communications Analyst ensures uninterrupted access to all voice telecommunication features, including voicemail, ACD or PBX systems. May research and recommend vendors. Additionally, Voice Communications Analyst may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Voice Communications Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Responsibilities
Teach applied voice lessons, vocal literature, vocal pedagogy, vocal diction, and assist/direct the lyric opera production and complete other assignments commensurate with departmental needs and the candidate's qualifications. The candidate is expected to participate fully in departmental recruitment, advising/mentoring activities, promoting the Department within the state, nationally and internationally. Voice faculty must recruit, retain, teach and graduate a strong studio of singers at the undergraduate level and must be effective in fulfilling committee service, grantsmanship, and expected to be significantly active in creative and/or research activities consistent with all faculty appointments.
Qualifications
A Masters degree in vocal performance and/or pedagogy is required; a completed doctorate is required for tenure-track appointment and rank of Assistant Professor. The candidate should have significant concert or stage experience in the field of opera/musical theatre and a demonstrated capacity as a studio voice teacher at the university level. Full-time university teaching experience is preferred.
SALARY: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
